Pardes (1997) Synopsis:
US citizen Kishorilal could not yet forget his mother land India. So he likes his daughter-in-law should be from India for his American son, Rajiv. His friend offers marriage proposal for his daughter Ganga with Rajiv. They are agreed. Then Kishorilal sends Arjun (his adopted son) to make sure Ganga really accepts Rajiv. Rajiv also accepts her. Engagement helds in India and the wedding party helds in America. Ganga starts her new life in USA and starts adjusting with new family. Her begining life looks fine but gradually she realizes that Rajiv isn't exact one as Arjun described her in India. Ganaga sees that Rajiv drinks, smokes and it she shocks much more when she understand that Rajiv is still thinks of his previous girlfriend.
